International Legal Instruments Relevant to Fisheries and Fishing Communities - website provides detailed information for a wide range of instruments relevant to fisheries and fishworkers. It covers 124 legal instruments, categorized into following seven themes: Human Rights, Food Security, Women and Development, Environment and Sustainable Development, Oceans and Fisheries Management, Environmental Pollution, Fishing Vessels and Safety at Sea, Labour and Trade.

It also provides working of the instruments, and provides the relevance to fisheries/small-scale fisheries/fishworkers. This website also provides users an oppurtunity to users to update the CD-ROM "International Legal Instruments Relevant to Fisheries and Fishing Communities" on a regular basis.

These fact sheets prepared by FAO cover the basic legislation , legal definitions and national codes relating to aquaculture operations. there is also coverage of aquaculture planning, operation of aquaculture sites and food safety. Additional miscellaneous information that relates to aquaculture legislation is also covered.

This is work in progress and not all APFIC countries are covered.

NATLEX, the database of national labour, social security and related human rights legislation

Records in NATLEX provide abstracts of legislation and relevant citation information, and they are indexed by keywords and by subject classifications. Each record in NATLEX appears in only one of the three ILO official languages (English/French/Spanish). Where possible, the full text of the law or a relevant electronic source is linked to the record.
